'Off-World Suburbia' is a meditative wandering between the digital follies of an off-world on-screen desert sculpture park. The slow-paced, non-narrative rhythm of the video gives space to a contemplative experience, where lights and textures seem to be the only things that matter, leaving the viewer in a sort of timelessness.
Yet, as the video goes by lights and celestial bodies mark a time that passes; sunset, moonrise, shifting skies are guiding the meditation. These mantric queues are reinforced by a soundscape building up in waves as the visual evolves, culminating at the end, as the video is about to restart. The end scene constitutes the only narrative instant of the film: as the many suns set, the big red sphere is adorned of the last mantra, this time written: "Ahead of us glimmer the green lights of a new electronic day”.
